In 1984 a young pastor, Daniel Sommerville, settled in Quebec with his small family. He founded a group of believers in the city of Longueuil called the Baptist Church of the South Shore. This Church has now shared its passion for Jesus Christ with the community for more than 30 years and has encouraged believers in their faith. At the Baptist Church on the South Shore, we believe that the Bible is alive and current for everyone and that it can answer all your questions. We want to be a Church that meets people where they are and then directs them to a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ, the Redeemer. Because God alone has the power to change and transform lives.

Whether you are from the municipality of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, in Montérégie, from the South Shore, or come from Montreal, or even if you are only passing through southern Quebec, our doors will always be wide open ! We warmly invite you to come and meet our pastor and the members of our assembly and to come and testify of your faith, your experiences and to give us your impressions.
