One Faith
The faith in Christ that we share as a church family begins with each individual having a personal relationship with Him. God’s Word teaches us that our Lord designed our faith to be passed “from faith to faith” (Romans 1:17). As we gather and participate in Christ-honoring worship services and respond in obedience to the preaching of God’s Word, this faith flourishes.
One Family
Here at First Baptist Church, our desire is that we grow together as one family. We grow together, in Christ, through the study of God’s Word. This occurs in our weekly services, in our smaller Bible Classes, and in one-on-one discipleship. Also, through participation in activities and ministry opportunities together, we create relationships and memories as a church family.
One Focus
The focus of our church is that of Christ – to serve. When gathered with His disciples, the Lord Jesus washed their feet (John 13:5). He did this to illustrate that He did not come to be ministered to, but to minister to others (Matthew 20:28; Mark 10:45).
As believers, we are to serve Christ by serving others. We serve others as we find a place of ministry in the local body (the church). We also serve by sharing the Gospel with those who need the Lord—through witnessing to friends, coworkers, neighbors, and loved ones, as well as in participating in church outreach and giving to global missions.
As a church, our mission is to reach the world with the Gospel of Christ. We want to utilize every available biblical means, and we want to disciple and train every member to participate in accomplishing this purpose.
