Great church with great music and even better preaching. Please don’t go by one disgruntled review. There was a special service on Mother’s Day honoring Dr. Hutson’s widow.
Pros
-The people at the door were friendly. That is about the most positive thing that I can say about this church.
Cons
-Pastor panders to feminism. He thinks it’s acceptable to charm to my wife and mother and not address me, the husband and son. Unacceptable. You address the man of the house and act polite to his women.
-Unbiblical. “But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering” (1Corinthians 11:15) There is no imprecatory or instructional teaching here, for the women have hair cut like men.
-Not Bible-Centered. Attended for Mother’s Day service. In 45 minutes, not a single verse of scripture was cited or read. This is not a Church; it is a community center.
-Wrong Focus. This church suffers from a misaligned focus. They focus on the music and the emotions. They do not focus on the Word of God. As previously stated, not a single verse was read in 45 minutes.
-Selfish Pastor. Pastor spoke about himself for 30 minutes. He spoke about his pastor and cried like a little baby girl discussing facts that people know nothing about. He played a video for his mother and made the entire congregation suffer through a compilation of video messages from individuals that no one is familiar with. He cried talking to his mother as if he were a woman in travail.
Stay far away from this selfish, worldly, subverted community center. It is a disgrace. Let them be anathema.
The preaching was strong, powerful. The invitation song was a Contemporary Praise song. DID NOT MATCH. “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” (Amos 3:3).
