The Message of Victory Bible Baptist Church is older than the Bible as we know it today, even though God’s word was forever settled in heaven before it was revealed in written form! It is the message the was spoken by the Lord Jesus Himself as it is recorded in Matthew 28:18-20, where He said to His disciples, after His resurrection, “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” It is because of this command given by our Lord that we seek to make disciples by telling people of the atonement made for man by the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Once they are a disciple (follower) of our Lord we are to baptize (immerse or submerge) them in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. (This identifying the with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection.) At this point we are to teach (instruct) them to observe all the things that Jesus had commanded the disciples to observe. This wasn’t just the ministry of the Apostles, it was to be the instructed responsibility of every believer! So, the ministry of Victory Bible Baptist Church is to follow our Lord’s instruction until He returns to receive us unto Himself and makes us exactly like Himself. I John 3:1-3
