West Marion Baptist Church has a rich history dating back to its beginnings in July of 1935. We are a small church with a huge heart for people and most importantly for the Lord. We believe that the Bible is the infallible Word of God. We believe that everything contained within it’s pages is 100% true and accurate, and that it still pertains to today. We believe in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ, His sinless life, His miraculous healings and that He is the living Son of God. We believe that He was tried and executed on the Cross of Calvary. We believe that the grave could not hold Him; that He was raised on the third day both defeating Hell and death, and that He later ascended into Heaven and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father. We believe in the Holy Trinity of God-the Godhead; that God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Ghost (Spirit) are one in the same AND three separate entities. We believe that through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ that we have the opportunity to be saved by grace. We believe that He is the only way to Heaven, and that through Him all things are made possible to those who truly believe. We believe that He is coming again very soon to claim His church and that everyone who believes in Him as their Lord and Savior will join Him on that day and will live for all eternity in Heaven. We accept all of this by faith based on what is written in the Holy Scriptures. We do not sugarcoat the Gospel. We preach the Word of truth and hope of Salvation through Jesus Christ to all that repent of their sins and turn to Him. We invite everyone to join us and to learn more about our Lord and Savior.
