I have been a member of this church for over 2 years now and I couldn’t have chosen a better church and family. It is a small personal church not looking to impress but to spread the Word of God to all and encourage others in the word. It is a true “Come As You Are” church. They do not care how you look, what you’ve done, or where you have come from. They just welcome you and introduce you to the Truth with love. They do not pick and choose, add, or take away but are very knowledgeable in the Lord and give great guidance. And the best part, if they do not know an answer they will say so, because there is not an answer for everything and we cannot know everything. If we did, why would we need God? We wouldn’t, we would be God if we had His knowledge. That is the whole point of relying and leaning into Him because He is all knowing. This church is also very vulnerable and amazing to share past or even current struggles and quick to pray about it because sometimes that is all we can do. There is no hiding sin or denying, instead we confess to one another for accountability in the Lord. We are all sinners and far from perfect, so why do we feel like we need to be in church. No question is too dumb to ask. Everyone is on their own path, there is no judgment for lack of knowledge or really anything. That is what I love about this church. They truly expresss grace and mercy with open arms just like the Father but they will guide and help when there is something wrong. They also let the Spirit move. If someone has something to say or share in their spirit from His, they are more than welcome to. The Spirit is not quenched in this church! They are also really opened to suggestions in ways to reach others better and event ideas. Anything is listened to! I highly recommend Southside Missionary Baptist Church in Aberdeen, NC. They have changed my life and will forever be my brothers and sisters in Christ. Come join us! Sunday Morning- 10am Bible Study, 11am Service. Wednesday Night- 7:30-8:30 Bible Study!
