Central started in the 1870’s in the short north area of Columbus, Ohio. After 2 moves we are in our present location in southwest Columbus, near Grove City. We are an independent, Bible believing Baptist Church. We are self-governing and self-supporting. The head of the church is the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible is our sole authority for faith and practice.
It is our desire to truly be a New Testament church seeking to reach the lost, feed the saints, and glorify the Lord until He returns.We are an independent Baptist church and our desire is to LOVE others with the love of Christ, to help believers GROW into mature Christians, and to SERVE others in obedience to Christ.

We started attending Central Baptist church a couple of months ago and it has been such a breath of fresh air. The pastor gives excellent sermons that have been helping me, my children, and other friends who have started attending too and also love it. The Holy Spirit is there; the gospel is preached regularly; the people in the congregation are friendly and kind; the worship is sincere. If you are looking for a place to learn truth, be challenged, and be blessed, you should check it out!
