Carmel Baptist Church is an independent Baptist church in Saegertown, Pennsylvania. The pastor is James Bussard.
The church only uses the KJV for its ministries (preaching, teaching, etc.).
The sermons are largely expository in nature.
The doctrine is neither Calvinist or Arminian. Instead of adhering to those labels, the pastor seeks to be biblical.
The pastor promotes and studies material from the following individuals: Spurgeon, Tozer, Edwards, Ryle, etc. He does not generally promote or study from any contemporary theologians/preachers.
The music is traditional with some Majesty music-type sprinkled in.
The pastor believes in caring for the people. He heavily promotes one-on-one discipleship, and is willing to counsel/meet with anyone that is seeking Truth and Light.
The church is NOT focused on politics, business tactics, emotionalism, or numbers
The church does have a Nursery and Children’s class. But, parents are more than welcome to keep their children in the church services also.
