We live in the days Paul said would come. The days wherein men would be lovers of themselves rather than lovers of God. To use an analogy, if you were making a pizza and you put plenty of cheese on it…you’d have no problem getting folks to eat it. If you added some sausage & pepperoni, probably a lot would like it, but you’d lose a few who don’t like those items. If you added black olives, anchovies, banana peppers…some would love it still but many wouldn’t eat it. Many would say well…I just don’t like that or that or this etc. If you were to keep going and add pineapple, barbeque sauce and hot peppers….you would have a hard time finding people who would eat that pizza. In many ways a church is the same… keep it vague, simple and don’t emphasize a lot of Bible doctrine and people will come. Add ‘THE WORKS’ {the entire Bible} to it and you’ll see ‘professing’ Christians turn their noses up at it. This one doesn’t like what Jesus said about that subject. That one doesn’t like what Paul said about this subject. That family doesn’t like what Solomon said about child training. That family doesn’t like what The Bible really teaches about such and such… FAITH BAPTIST CHURCH IS SERVING JUST ONE KIND OF CHRISTIANITY! THE WORKS! THE WHOLE BIBLE! THE ONE PAID FOR ON THE CROSS!
