Lighthouse Baptist Church is an independent Baptist church in Grand Prairie, Texas. The pastor is David Grice.
Obedient to God’s call, we started Lighthouse Baptist Church in Grand Prairie, Texas in the summer of 2003.
Our area needed a Bible-believing, conservative, soul-winning church. In the early days, it seemed that we majored on helping people heal from being hurt by addictions, abusers, bad circumstances . . . and even other churches and that remains a big part of our ministry to this day. We started in a little storefront location that will always hold a special place in the hearts of those involved during that first year of the church.
Our God is a big God! He worked many miracles to get us into our current location. Since we are in the middle of a neighborhood, and not on a main street, we have always been very active in door-knocking and using door-hangers to let people know “who” and “where” we are.
The Lighthouse church family is made up of a very diverse group of people. People from all over the United States, and even immigrants from the Philippines, St. Lucia and Mexico, along with occasional foreign exchange students from Germany, Brazil and South Korea, gather at Lighthouse to worship together.
We believe that Missions is one of the most important parts of a church . . . the “life-blood”, if you will. We support a wide variety of missionaries on many continents
Home Missions allows us to help start churches here in the United States, reach the lost in jails and prisons, work with printing ministries, and encourage fellow pastors and missionaries on deputation/furlough, as well as making good use of our missionary house.
Foreign Missions has allowed us to love people that we may never meet on this side of Heaven. Wonderful missionaries are serving the Lord, and helping us to fulfill the Great Commission in some amazing places! We have dear friends in dangerous areas in Mexico, deep in the mountainous jungles of rainforests, in hostile regions around the world, and many exotic locations. We partner with them through prayer, finances, and friendships, to get the Gospel into all the world. We absolutely love our missionaries!
We believe the King James Bible (a with with and , , with and ) is the inspired, infallible word of God providentially preserved and translated without error in the English language (, , , , ) to be our self-sufficient final authority in all matters of faith and practice (, , , , , ) and hence, no part of it can be improved upon (), “corrected” (, , ), or conclusively defined (, ) with supposed knowledge of Hebrew and Greek. (, , , , with , , , , )
We believe that all the English versions produced after the KJV are corrupt (), lifeless () perversions of the word of God (, , , , , , ) that teach heresies (, ), weaken doctrine (, ), distort and hide the gospel (, , ), weaken Christians’ faith (), hinder soul-winning (, , , ), cause confusion (, , ), cause apathy (, , ), weaken the church (, , , ), make Christians vulnerable (, , , , , ), hinder spiritual growth (, , , , ), insult God (, ), and distort God’s character.
