Senior Pastor needed in Land ‘O Lakes, FL

First Baptist Church of Land O’ Lakes (FBCLOL) is seeking an experienced senior pastor who
is knowledgeable of and faithful to the Scriptures and has a gift to preach, teach, and
equip the church for evangelism, discipleship, and service. He must live a life that aligns
with the teachings of the Bible, that demonstrates his faith in God, and also exhibits a
commitment to Christ, the leading of the Spirit, and the authority of the Scripture.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Fill the pulpit for each regularly scheduled church service and any special services
presenting Biblically sound messages that are consistent with the church’s mission
and objectives.
• Teach Sunday school or other classes in the church and christian school as the need arises.
• Lead the ministry staff and volunteers.
• For your direct reports (Asst Pastor, Music Minister, Youth Pastor, and Administrative
Pastor), generate their yearly evaluations based on the measurable results of
established organizational and positional goals.
• Act as moderator at all church meetings for the transaction of church matters.
• Appoint members of the various committees at the annual church administration meeting.
• Serve as the president of First Baptist Church of Land O’ Lakes, Inc.
• Visit members, shut-ins, and visitors as needed and appropriate.
• Coordinate ministry activities that reflect the mission of FBCLOL.
• Inform the deacons of contacts, activities, concerns, and needs of the ministry.
• Schedule regular church office hours.
• Provide compassionate counseling as needed (pre-marital, marital, etc.).
• Develop relationships within the community.
• Understand and have some level of involvement in each of the ministries of FBCLOL.
• Have a working knowledge and awareness of the finances of the church.
• Any other responsibilities not already stated above but included in the
most current version of our Bylaws.
