Pastor needed in North Grosvenordale, CT

Tri-State Baptist Church in Thompson, Connecticut, a fundamental, independent Baptist church in the “quiet corner” of Connecticut is waiting in anticipation for God to reveal its next Pastor. Our tightknit congregation (averaging 80 – 100 on Sunday mornings) is united in prayer as we wait on the Lord to reveal His plan for our next steps. Our church is ministry minded and Gospel oriented. We are seeking a Biblically qualifed man of abiding faith who has a heart to minister to a wide range of ages and family situations, to teach, preach, mentor, and come alongside those in our congregation.

Prior experience is preferred as is a candidate who possess a genuine love and heart for New England. Ideally situated just minutes from a major highway that links three states, we draw from many local communities, not only in Connecticut but also Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The town of Thompson has a population of over 9,000 and Tri-State has been a lighthouse to this community since its founding in 2005.

Our new building and expansive grounds are situated on a main thoroughfare and make our location ideal for outreaches. Our members enthusiastically support each other and our pastor, and there is never a shortage of volunteers for projects and events. We use the King James Bible in all church ministries and worship using traditional hymns. Our nursery and Sunday School programs serve our children from infancy through High School. We also offer Adult Bible Study during the Sunday School hour, and structured discipleship during the week. Our mid-week evening prayer meeting allows our church body to meet to share requests and be encouraged in God’s word.
