We are an Independent Baptist Church with a two-fold mission – to reach out to the Harker Heights, Killeen, and Fort Hood communities with the Gospel of Christ, and to nurture our members through the teaching of God’s Word and the fellowship of believers. Our hope is that all come to accept the salvation found in Jesus Christ, and grow spiritually in a personal relationship with Him! I came into this church as a lukewarm Christian and found my church family here but continued in my semi-regular attendance and lukewarm relationship with Jesus and nobody bothered me about it, they loved me when I was present. I then had an amazing job opportunity pull me to a new location and had to leave the church here behind. After just 6 months I realized how much value a church that preaches the word and cares and prays for each other really had in my life and how hard it was to find once lost. I left the job opportunity and moved back and became regularly involved and watched my relationship with Jesus blossom and naturally my family life has followed as well! My daughter loves Master Club and at 4 years old knows more verses than most adults I have met! I love this church for helping me refocus on the real joy found in serving God faithfully!
This church preaches the word unapologetically and in love, exactly as it should! I had challenges to my personal beliefs that I studied out and discussed with them very respectfully and now am enrolled in Faith Bible Institute which is also offered at this church! My membership at this church is here to stay for the foreseeable future!
Some of our members do use other bible translations and even a few use their bible apps, however all teaching and instruction is done through the King James Version!
